The Cowan-Turner Program in Servant Leadership (CTPSL) is a unique program that strives to promote the philosophy and encourage the practice of servant leadership on Georgia Tech’s campus and in the community. Servant leadership is a philosophy of life and leadership dedicated to the growth of others and committed to building values-based institutions that contribute to just, caring, and sustainable societies.

The CTPSL accomplishes this goal through student mentorship, student leadership development, and management of dedicated funds that are used to expand the practice and understanding of servant leadership. The program takes a two pronged approach towards promoting servant leadership. First of all, it makes sure that the theoretical underpinnings of servant leadership are discussed and debated in a classroom setting. These conversations happen in the elective courses offered through the College of Management and through group discussions, such as the Georgia Tech Annual Servant Leadership Development retreat that takes place in May. Secondly, the CTPSL promotes hands-on experience of servant leadership through financial support provided for student leadership initiatives that demonstrate a deep commitment to the tenets of servant leadership. To gain a better understanding of the criteria for financial support and what type of programs have gained funding in the past, please visit the links below.

The application deadlines are listed below. Please allow two to four weeks after the deadline for application decisions.
